
Kelly Clarkson, the American Dream became a reality when she was nominated for the very first American Idol season. She reaffirmed the idea that one could come in any place and became a superstar which was something real that American people could look up to and most importantly to buy. Her success was enormous when she released her first album. Following her move to a different record label and having greater control of her sounds, her second album became one of the best-selling albums of "American Idol" alumni. As well as touring frequently, recording numerous Top Ten singles, releasing two albums that have multi-Platinum versions, serving as a mentor on multiple singing programs, as well as writing or co-writing much of her music She has also received a respectable number of awards. She was awarded the prestigious four American Music Awards as well twelve Billboard Music Awards. Two Grammy Awards and three MTV Video Music Awards. To date, she has received 98 major award nominations, and won seventy of these.
