Allison Chinchar works as a forecaster of weather for CNN as well as HLN. The station airs her regularly on CNN's 'New Day Weekend' and HLN's 'Weekend Express', as in CNN International programming. She served as a local station meteorologist on the air in Atlanta, Nashville and Chattanooga prior to she joined CNN. She reported on hurricanes, blizzards, and storms in addition to flooding and wildfires, and received an Emmy for the coverage she provided of Dorian. Dorian which struck the Bahamas in 2019. Then she has covered in the Super Tornado Outbreak of April 2011. More than 350 tornadoes hit on the Southeastern United States in just 4 days, and more than 200 occurring on April 27th alone. She's covered changes in the climate, as well as the eruptions of volcanoes and earthquakes as a result of her expertise in environmental science. Chinchar has a Bachelors of Science of Atmospheric Science. She graduated from The Ohio State University. She is also a member of the American Meteorological Society, the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society, the National Weather Association, and the International Association of Broadcast Meteorology.
