Kari Wuhrer was born on April 28th the 28th of April, 1967. She is an American actor and singer. Wuhrer began her career as an teen and is most well famous for her character of Maggie Beckett in the television show Sliders and as Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), a payroll accountant, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, a police officer and automobile salesman. She has been blessed with three brothers. When she was a teenager was a nightclub singer, sneaking out of the family home to perform. When she was just an teen, she would perform in clubs by sneaking away from her home. When she was 13 years older, Kari studied acting at the Wooster School. She then was enrolled in drama classes at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York University, Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College; plus, The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art along with the renowned professor Uta Hagen. Kari started acting when she was aged a teenager. Her first break on television was 1987 on MTV's Remote Control.
