Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton, who was born in Locust Ridge Tenn. on the 19th of January. 19. 1946, into a low-income family, with twelve kids at one point, realized that she could get away from suffering through her imaginative mind. Prior to learning how to write or read she wrote herself songs. Within 8 years she was playing her first guitar. When she was 11 years old she started singing at the Knoxville Tennessee radio station. She recorded her first album within the same calendar year with Gold Band Records, a small independent label. Her name was made in the local scene while in high school, however she dreamed of a bigger stage. After she finished her high school, in 1964, she moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Around this time, Porter Wagoner was looking for a new girl singer for his television show that was syndicated. Parton took the offer and in the year 1967, she signed to RCA Records in 1968 and joined in the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. The year 1974 was the first when she made the decision to quit Wagoner's show because the success of her solo albums such as Joshua Coat, Many Colors, and Jolene exceeded their collective efforts. The song by Parton, I Will Never Love You (for Wagoner), was able to reach the top of the. 1 spot after they broke up. In 1974, Parton's song I Will Always Love You climbed to No.
