Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is a British music producer and singer. Harry Styles was one of the original members of One Direction. His parents were Des Styles and Anne Cox. The couple were born on 1st February, 1994, in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School which is where he formed his own group of musicians with 3 schoolmates, which he called the White Eskimo. The group was part of the Battle of Bands where thanks to their excellent presentations they took home the trophy. Although he has an interest in music He also wished to become a lawyer or the profession of physiotherapist. He was employed in a local bakery part-time to help his family financially. Harry Styles performed Is not She Lovely (Stevie Wonder) at the auditions of 2010 to The X Factor. For that reason his band was forced to break up. Nicole Scherzinger was the judge who suggested Harry Styles to be part the group that would later be called One Direction, along with Liam Payne Zayn malik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to create the group in 2010. In the contest, the group played songs, such as My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart from Bonnie Tyler so the group was one of the contenders for the prize. The group was however placed third place behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles did not receive a prize, however Cowell has offered a two million-pound contract with One Direction in order for the group to join Syco Records.
