Lucy Liu is an American voice actress, producer and singer. She's a beautiful, talented actress who has helped numerous Asian actors to make it in Hollywood. The early successes of her were boosted through her participation in several popular television show. There, she portrayed the evil Ling Woo. It was a moment of fame that led to film roles such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. For Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave a stunning performance as Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii. During this time she also acted as the lead in several flops on the box-office including Rise: Blood Hunter. Later, she became a voice actress for animated films including Kung Fu Panda. Small screen roles such as Mia Mason in Cashmere Mafia did not yield results. A recurring role in the critically acclaimed police drama series Southland allowed her to regain her status as an established actress. Liu chooses her roles with care to avoid becoming typecast in the highly competitive field. Although she is proud of her heritage however, she is not letting it limit her imagination.
