Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born April 16, 1996, in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor was a banker in the past. Jennifer Marina Joy worked as a Psychotherapist. She is the daughter of an Argentinean who has Scottish, English and Argentinean descent. Her mother is Spanish with English roots. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children from her father's prior marriage. Family was in Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy was 6 years old, later moving to Victoria district of London. Taylor Joy admitted that the transition from Buenos Aires, to Victoria was difficult and she was not able to learn English in hopes of going home to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school when she changed schools from Northlands. She later enrolled at Queen's Gate School where she was a ballet student and performed in school productions. When she was 16, she quit school in order to explore acting as a profession. Taylor-Joy's desire to be an actor began when she was just a child. Sarah Doukas of Storm Management was the very first model who hired her to be model for professional models.
